Daniel AM Villela
Daniel Villela is a researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and currently coordinator of the Scientific Computing Program (PROCC/FIOCRUZ) and deputy coordinator of the Public Health Epidemiology Program (ENSP/FIOCRUZ). He obtained a Master's degree from UFRJ in 1998 and a Ph.D. degree from Columbia University in 2005. He has experience in mathematical modeling and performance analysis, with particular interest in mathematical modeling and quantitative methods in Epidemiology, including the dynamics of malaria in the Brazilian Amazon, and Ecology of Important Vectors for public health. Editorial board member of journals PLOS Global Health and Experimental Results.
